Description: This is rare original Odeon copy ( released in 1966 ) of Beatles’ “Please Please Me”, coming with “ODEON ORIGINAL OBI”! This edition was issued to commemorate their Japan Tour. The cover is different from UK copy, while the disc is odeon red-wax, issued only for its 1st press. Insert is not originally issued for this item. Instead a colorful booklet is attached inside gate-fold cover to show "Japanese liner notes", "English & Japanese lyrics" & "Colorful photos of their stage". It’s very hard to find this copy with obi & red-wax in any condition even in our country nowadays. Scarce item from Japan to serious collector.

Condition: VG/EX+ ( Cover / Disc )


COVER: Cover is good in condition, except for partly worn corners & outer-edges. It’s scraped and lightly stained with light ring-wear on the surface of each side. Otherwise it has no tear, dent, strip & writing…OK.

DISC: Disc is excellent in condition, keeping glossy. It has a few slight scuffs on each “outer groove ( music surface )”. Though there’re also scuffs on the “inner groove ( not music surface )”, they have no relation with the sound. There are some spindle-marks on each label. Otherwise it has none of any scratch & hairline, which is to be rated as "EX+". Clean disc for red wax of Beatles.

OBI: G, being wrinkled on the surface of front, while being lightly rippled on that of back. It’s split on the top-edge and partly bottom-edge. 2 short tears are in the middle of left-rim of front. A supply-tag in the top of back is missing.

INSERT: INSERT is not originally issued for this item. Instead a booklet is inlayed inside gate-fold cover.

INNER-BAG: G+, being lightly creased and tanned for aging on the surface of each side. The top-flap is ragged on outer-edges in part.
