Description: This is scarce Japanese original 10” copy ( released in 1960 ) of Harry Belafonte’s 8 track album. The cover is flipped back on its top & bottom-rims, showing “Japanese description” & “English lyrics” on the back. Though the insert is not included, it’s not sure if it was originally issued for this item.

The cover design is the same as “Excerpts From The Belafonte Carnegie Hall Concert”, but it’s not live album, but just a 8 track compilation issued to commemorate his Japan tour of 1960 ( See the track-list below ). It’s very hard to find this item with obi even in my country nowadays. Scarce item from Japan to serious collector.

Side A: Day O, Jamaica farewell, Cocoanut woman, Venezuela

Side B: Danny boy, Darlin’ cors, Fifteen, Cotton fields


Condition: VG/G+ ( Cover/Disc )


COVER: Cover is good in condition, except for partly worn corners, right-edge & lightly other outer-edges. It’s lightly waving with light ring-wear on the surface of front, while being clean on the back for its old age. Short creases are around the rims of each side. Otherwise it has no tear, strip, dent, stain & writing…OK.

DISC: Disc has light scuffs & scratches in places on each side. There are some spindle-marks on each label. Otherwise it has none of any serious flaw ( such as deep scratch ), which is to be rated as "G+". It still plays strong on each side.

OBI: VG, being creased in places on the surface of front.

INSERT: INSERT is not included. But it’s not sure if it was originally issued for this item.
